About Brookes Paranormal
Brookes Paranormal is a Private and Public Paranormal Events Team based in Nottinghamshire. We delve into Britain's historical past and investigate Britain's most haunted locations, in search of proof of the afterlife and to learn the stories of those who once lived.

We've been interested in the Paranormal for over two decades, ever since Most Haunted hit our screens back in 2002. Whether you love them or hate them, it's what got us into the Paranormal. We began properly investigating for ourselves 7 years ago, in October 2016. Since then, we've experienced plenty of unexplained phenomena and have learned so much about communicating and collecting evidence of the paranormal. We started collecting our own equipment around April 2017 and have since gone on to own a variety of EMF meters, ITC instruments, Night Vision Camcorders and more. In June 2017, we started documenting our investigations and made episodic-like videos for our family and followers to watch and discuss. In December 2017, Brookes Paranormal announced that we will be hosting our own public ghost hunts throughout 2018 and into the future, and Brookes Paranormal are happy to say we're still doing them to this day. In 2020 we had to cancel many events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but kickstarted them back up in 2021 after lockdown measures and restrictions at venues were lifted and eased. As of 2023, we have hosted Ghost Hunts, Ghost Walks and other Paranormal Nights at over 50 historic locations across the country, with more than 40 events on average every year, and will continue to investigate more locations as we progress onward. Meet the Team
The Brookes Paranormal Team began with three team members and now currently has nine team members. Each member of the team have their own expertise and knowledge within the Paranormal field and working at historical buildings, plus their unique personalities.

Jordan - Co-Founder of Brookes Paranormal
Specialty: Historian, Spiritual Sensitive and Experimentalist

Bio: My name is Jordan and I am one of the co-founders of Brookes Paranormal, as well as a lead investigator and team leader.
I've been interested in the Paranormal ever since I was a young boy, when I would watch shows like Most Haunted and Dead Famous with my family. I've always been fascinated with the concept of life after death, and why ghosts/spirits are still here. I love my history and learning about it, and over the years it has become a great passion of mine to tell people stories of our incredible past. I'm a firm believer in that where there is history, there's ghosts. My first ever ghost hunt was at the Galleries of Justice in Nottingham back in October 2016, and it was here that I saw an apparition of a Victorian woman in the washroom. It was like looking at a recording in time of the Shire Hall's dark past; a moment I will never forget. Since that night, I have firmly believed in the existence of ghosts and have experienced some incredible activity, but while this is the case, I still like to keep an open mind and be rational when investigating.
Lynda - Co-Founder of Brookes Paranormal

Bio: My name is Lynda and I am one of the co-founders of Brookes Paranormal, as well as a lead investigator and team leader.
I have believed in ghosts and spirits since I was a young child, when I kept seeing the apparition of a gentleman hanging on my bedroom door. It was frightening to experience at first, but my grandma was a spiritualist and helped me to understand spiritualism and mediumship better. I am a Spiritualist Medium, which means that I can sense, hear and feel spirit energy in locations, and sometimes at home before I even travel to a location. I am constantly craving to see, learn and understand the afterlife and spirit world better. If you have any questions about understanding the spirit world or wanting guidance to get in tune with your inner spiritual abilities, I am more than happy to help you.

Bio: My name is Mark and I am a lead investigator and team leader for Brookes Paranormal. I have been with the Brookes Paranormal team since January 2019.

Mark has been interested in the Paranormal for as long as he can remember. His Mother had a connection with spirits and because of this, his interest in the Paranormal Field begun. Mark has been doing investigations for about 15 years and has been all over the country to different locations. Mark often picks up on children spirits within a location. He also, on occasions, has done some Healing.
Kat - Lead Investigator and Team Leader

Bio: My name is Katrina and I am a lead investigator and team leader for Brookes Paranormal. I have been with the Brookes Paranormal team since January 2019.

Katrina has always been sensitive to the Paranormal with the gift of feeling, smelling and hearing a spirit's presence. She has always experienced a feeling of being pulled and also being connected to locations with the feelings of déjà vu. She is also very knowledgeable of History and Social History. She is a friendly and approachable person.

For many years I worked as a tour guide at Nottingham Castle until 2018 when it closed for redevelopment.
Jay - Lead Investigator and Team Leader

Bio: My name is Jay and I am a lead investigator and team leader for Brookes Paranormal. I have been with the Brookes Paranormal team since September 2023.

I have a passion for the paranormal which goes back when I was a child. I've always been involved with the paranormal on a small scale, but as I've got older and more aware of my senses, I'm able to pick up on energy more. Being with Brookes Paranormal has helped me enhance my gift, and also doing what I love the most (investigating haunted places). Brookes Paranormal are unique and give guests such an amazing experience. They are professional and amazing at what they do, and I'm so happy to be a part of this team.
Viv - Lead Investigator and Team Leader

Bio: My name is Viv and I am a lead investigator and team leader for Brookes Paranormal. I have investigated with the Brookes Paranormal team for many years as I've been long time friends, and currently I have been a team member for over 7 months.

Zach - Lead Investigator and Team Leader

Bio: My name is Zach and I am a lead investigator and team leader for Brookes Paranormal. I have been with the Brookes Paranormal team since July 2023.

I’ve always been interested in the paranormal and throughout my life I have had experiences and visions that I have not always not been able to explain. In the last couple of years I’ve attended a few ghost hunts and this is where I started to become aware of my abilities and have validated things I have heard and seen. I can sense spirits and they provide me with relevant information and I can sense when spirits are around and wanting to make contact. I often get messages from family members so I feel I’m a sensitive and a healer so I’ve been told. This has became a real passion of mine and I love going into new locations to see what I can pick up. My favourite location is Gresley Old Hall as I got a real connection there and saw an old man on the loft staircase.
Lee - Lead Investigator and Team Leader

Bio: My name is Lee and I am a supporting investigator and team leader for Brookes Paranormal. I have been with the Brookes Paranormal team since January 2023. I have always been a sceptic until during lockdown 2020 when one night I saw a spirit standing next to the bed and I could not explain what it was, I used to refuse to believe and tried to find an explanation for it more than believing it was a spirit. Since that moment, I have found myself being more and more sensitive to spirit, to the point where I'm starting to be able to channel them to get information about them. I still try to think about the things that could have caused the activity before saying it's 'paranormal', but I think that is the sceptic in me. My most memorable moments with Brookes Paranormal were at the National Civil War Museum Newark where I heard whistling and saw shadows in the corner of the cellar, The Robin Hood Experience where I have seen shadows, felt cold spots at the same time as others, felt a darker energy take over me, and had a mannequin fall on me despite trying to recreate the same fall to no success, and lastly at Strelley Hall where we had intelligent communication with spirit through the REM Pod in the Castle Room. I really enjoy being a team member for Brookes Paranormal as ghost hunting is becoming one of my great passions, and I would love for people who come onto the events to experience that same feeling because it's an amazing feeling when you catch activity with your own eyes and you can't explain it. I could not ask for a better team to be a part of.

Who Have We Worked With?
Phil Whyman
Phil Whyman is a Paranormal Investigator and Television Star. He is well known to fans and investigators alike for being one of many Lead Paranormal Investigators on the hit TV series Most Haunted. He has also appeared on other shows, including Scream Team from back in 2001 and Are You Haunted? from 2019. In October 2017, Brookes Paranormal had the chance to investigate alongside Phil and his team at the haunted and historic Galleries Of Justice in Nottingham.
Richard Felix
Richard Felix is a Paranormal Historian and also the owner of Derby Gaol. He is also well known to fans and investigators alike for being the prominent Historian on the hit TV series Most Haunted. He has also presented and featured in a number of documentaries, which includes his Ghosts of... series, where he toured around Britain telling infamous Ghost Stories. Richard has also written and published a book titled What Is A Ghost?. In November 2017, Brookes Paranormal had the chance to work alongside Richard by investigating both Derby Gaol and Vernon Gate Prison in Derby. We also hosted a Ghost Hunt at
Derby Gaol with Richard Felix on Friday 13th May in 2022.
Most Haunted
Most Haunted is the UK's leading and longest running Paranormal Show. First aired in 2002 on Living TV, Most Haunted has aired on television for over 17 years, spanning across a total of 25 Seasons, and new content being uploaded to the Official Most Haunted YouTube Channel. In September 2017, Brookes Paranormal had the opportunity to investigate with Karl Beattie and Stuart Torevell at Codnor Castle Cottage in Codnor, Derbyshire, where we had strange taps and EMF fluctuations. Fun Fact, Stuart did some camera work on behalf of Brookes Paranormal when filming there.
Ian Lawman
Ian Lawman is a Spiritual Medium and Television Personality. He has starred on numerous popular Paranormal TV shows like Most Haunted, Living With The Dead, Haunting Australia, Ghost Chasers, and most recently Help! My House Is Haunted and Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted. Back in 2019,
Ian Lawman joined Brookes Paranormal as a Special Guest Medium on a Ghost Hunt at Holme Pierrepont Hall in Nottinghamshire, and is a good friend of our co-founder Lynda.
Lee Roberts
Lee Roberts is a Paranormal Investigator, Television and Online Personality who has been involved in numerous Paranormal Shows on REALLY TV, Quest Red, Pick TV and Sky TV. He also ran Facebook LIVE's with his former team investigating at some unique locations, and also ran his own events company for a decade. Lee has supported Brookes Paranormal since day one, helping with locations, advising on how to run events, providing us exposure on his LIVE feeds and even allowing us to co-host some of his events at the likes of Wollaton Hall, Newstead Abbey and Nottingham Castle years ago. We're grateful to be great friends with such a wonderful bloke like Lee.
Neil Cook
Neil Cook is a Renowned Psychic Medium in the North of England who has appeared on Showcase TV and featured in the show Ghosts of Britain. Neil joined Brookes Paranormal as a Special Guest Medium at our Ye Olde Salutation Inn
Halloween Ghost Hunt back in 2018, where without prior knowledge, he connected with the spirit of the little girl Rosie who is believed to haunt the caves there below.
Tom Warrington
Tom Warrington is a Paranormal Investigator and former Radio Host of the Pure Paranormal Radio Show. He is also a Researcher and Paranormal Writer. Tom joined us on our Ghost Hunt at the National Civil War Museum in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire back in August 2018, and from there he broadcasted an episode of his Pure Paranormal Radio Show LIVE from the event. He also recorded some incredible poltergeist footage at this event of a door being slammed into, as if a spirit was trying to escape quickly.
Colette McArdle
Colette McArdle is a known Medium in the Merseyside area. She has investigated a number of haunted locations around the country, picking up on many spirits that want to come forward. She has also been featured on many paranormal podcast shows and live stream investigations online. Colette is also a close friend of the Brookes Paranormal team, and it's been a blessing having her join us at some of our ghost hunting events over the years.
